FOB stands for “Free on Board,” and it refers to the cost of goods before they are loaded onto the vessel or aircraft.
Effective April 1, 2024, The Jamaica Customs Agency has increased the threshold for duty-free imports to US$100 (FOB value).
If the FOB value is US$100 or less, no duties or taxes will be charged. If the FOB value is over US$100, duties and taxes will be applied to the entire shipment value — not just the amount that is over $100. To avoid exceeding the threshold, you could consider breaking your order into smaller ones.
